Birth Doula Services: I would love to meet you for an interview to see if we click. If you decide to hire me, we will meet at two times prenatally. I will join you in labor and stay with you until your baby is born, and for a couple of hours after you deliver to help with baby's first nursing session, to make sure you've had a chance to eat, and to get everyone is tucked in and cozy. Then, within a week or so (whenever you're ready, really), I'll come for a postpartum meeting where we can discuss your birth, talk about any questions you may have, and check in about how breastfeeding is going (if you've chosen to breastfeed, of course). I will be on-call for you 2 weeks before your due date, but you can feel free to call, text, or email whenever you want to once you've decided to hire me. You will have access to my lending library of books related to birth and parenting. I will also provide a written birth story to you after your birth. My fee is $700.

Breastfeeding Support: I will come to the hospital or your home to spend 1-2 hours answering your questions about breastfeeding, offering support and ideas to help with your specific needs, or troubleshooting problems you may be experiencing. I can observe a feeding, if you'd like, and offer suggestions about positioning, achieving a good latch, making sure your baby is getting enough to eat, and any other questions or concerns you have about breastfeeding. My goal is to leave you feeling calm and confident about breastfeeding! Each in-home visit is $75.

Private Breastfeeding Education: I am excited to offer in-home breastfeeding education! I will offer a comprehensive, 2-hour breastfeeding class that covers why breastfeeding is a great choice, how your body does this amazing thing, how to make sure your baby is getting enough, how to get breastfeeding off to a good start, what the first few weeks and months of breastfeeding might actually look like, and so much more. I love offering an in-home class because it give people a chance to practice different breastfeeding positions in their home where they will actually be feeding their baby, and we can talk about your unique lifestyle and how breastfeeding fits into it. We can also discuss how to use your own breast pump, talk about your specific needs and concerns, and help you make a customized breastfeeding plan that will meet your needs. I will be offering this class in the evenings during the week and on weekends. I strongly encourage partners to be present for the class, and I warmly welcome any other family members or friends who may be caring for your baby in the future. This class is $100.
